Iran’s poet Hushang Ebtehaj passes away at 94

 Iranian Poet Hushang Ebtehaj with the pen name of "Sayeh" passed away at the age of 94.

Yalda Ebtehaj, daughter of the late Iranian poet announce on her Instagram page that her father had passed away on Wednesday.

He was hospitalized in Cologne, Germany due to kidney failure.



Ebtehaj was born on February 26, 1928, in Rasht, north of Iran.

Aghakhan Ebtehaj, father of Hushang Ebtehaj was a well-known person and head of Poorsina Hospital in Rasht.

The late Iranian poet’s house, Arghavan, was registered in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts.



He was also the supervisor of Golha Radio programs.

The First Songs, Mirage, Bleak Travails I, Nocturnal, Earth, Pages from the Longest Night, Bleak Travails II, Until the Dawn of the Longest Night, Memorial to the Blood of the Cypress, Bleak Travails III, Bleak Travails IV, Mirror in Mirror and Dispirited were among Ebtehaj’s great works.
