Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has announced that Secretary of the SNSC Ali Larijani has been martyred.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the secretariat of the council said Larijani died alongside his son Morteza, deputy for security affairs at the SNSC’s secretariat, Alireza Bayat and several members of their security personnel.
According to the statement, Larijani devoted his life to serving Iran and the Islamic Revolution and consistently called for unity among officials and the public in the face of external threats. His martyrdom would further strengthen the determination of Iranian people to continue the path of resistance, it added.
