Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the martyrdom of its spokesperson, Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, in a US-Israeli airstrike in the early hours of the Friday.
In a statement, the IRGC offered congratulations and condolences to General Naeini’s family members and the Iranian Armed Forces on his martyrdom.
General Naeini fell victim to “the cowardly terrorist US-Israeli crime”, the statement reads.
Commending his services to the nation, the IRGC said the martyred general will always be remembered as he has left his prominent and lasting image in the history of the country’s defense and sacrifice.
Reminding General Naieni’s dedication and valiance for over more than four decades in safeguarding the Islamic Revolution, particularly during the 8-year Imposed War, the statement hailed the roles he played for the Sacred Defense, including as the IRGC spokesperson over the past two years.
